Abstract

This qualitative study explores the empowerment of displaced Afghan women living in urban settlements, focusing on their unique experiences, challenges, and opportunities. Using purposive sampling and in-depth interviews, the research employed thematic analysis to identify key areas such as resilience, education, skill development, and the lack of community-led initiatives. Findings highlight Afghan women's strong resilience despite facing significant barriers to integration, limited access to healthcare and education, and social isolation. The study emphasizes the critical need for targeted policies that support their empowerment, well-being, and successful integration into host communities.
